This week, I learn about Leadership on The 5 Levels of Leadership by John C. Maxwell and I’ll share what I get on this topic, and update everyday.

• Level 1 : “Leadership is a process, not a position.” (Feb 6, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Leadership is action, not a position.” (Feb 7, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Leaders are always taking people somewhere. They aren’t static. If there is no journey, there is no leadership.” (Feb 8, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Positional leaders focus on control instead of contribution.” (Feb 9, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Position may get a leader compliance from players, but it won’t give championships.” (Feb 10, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Just because you have the right to do something as a leader doesn’t mean that it is the right thing to do.” (Feb 11, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Your values are the soul of your leadership, and they drive your behavior.” (Feb 12, 2012)
• Level 1 : “One of us is not as smart as all of us.” (Feb 13, 2012)
• Level 1 : “The best leaders promote people into leadership based on leadership potential, not on politics, seniority, credentials, or convenience.” (Feb 14, 2012)
• Level 1 : “People don’t give their best to leaders they like least.” (Feb 15, 2012)
• Level 1 : “A Position is not a worthy destination for any person’s life.” (Feb 16, 2012)
• Level 1 : “People quit people, not companies.” (Feb 17, 2012)
• Level 1 : “Success demands more than most people are willing to offer, but not more than they are capable of giving. The thing that often makes the difference is good leadership.” (Feb 18, 2012)
• Level 2 : “It’s very difficult to be self-deluded and successful at the same time.” (April 1, 2012)
• Level 2 : “Practicing the golden rule enables everyone to feel respected.” (April 2, 2012)
• Level 2 : “Connecting is having the ability to identify with and relate to people in such a way that it increases your influence with them.” (April 3, 2012)
• Level 2 : “Care without candor creates dysfunctional relationships. Candor without care creates distant relationships.” (April 4, 2012)
