Facing Death And The Life After

Indonesia, October 23, 2011

Yesterday, I read a book title “Facing Death And The Life After written by Billy Graham and this afternoon, I saw a moment Marco Simoncelli died in MotoGP 2011, Sepang Malaysia on television.

I put this short video to remind the moment only :

Related with a book I read and what happen then, I learn some stuff :

  • Death is an enemy that can’t be avoided (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2; Hebrew 9:27; James 4:14; Psalm 39:6)
  • Death is an enemy that opposes God‘s plan (1 Corinthians 15:25-26; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:19-21)
  • Death (physically)  is the separation of the spirit and soul from body (James 2:26; 1 Kings 17:17; Job 28:12-13)
  • Necrophobia is the excessive fear of death (Psalm 55:5-6; Matthews 8:25; Luke 22:44)
  • Jesus has overcome the Necrophobia (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrew 2:15; Matthews 10:28)
  • Our death is precious on God’s eyes, some God’s plan on it (Psalm 116 :15)
  • Active euthanasia isn’t Bible’s recommended (Deuteronomy 32:39)
  • God hates suicide (Deuteronomy 32:39)
  • Condolences when someone died (Genesis 37:34)
  • Condolences not allowed to blame something or someone else (John 11:32)
  • Facing death is a must (2 Kings 20:1; Isaiah 38:1; Hebrew 11:22)
  • The funeral is for people who live, not dead
  • After death we go to heaven (1 Peter 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 13:12)
  • Our right to enter heaven fully guaranteed by God (Romans 8:33-34; John 3:16)
  • We must well prepared anytime (2 Corinthians 6:2; Philippians 4:5-7)
Example of the heroes of faith (Matthews 10:16-18)
  • Stephen in Acts said : Lord Jesus please receive my spirit.”
  • Martin Luther King three times said : “Into your hands Lord I surrender my spirit! Thou hast redeemed me, O God of truth.”
  • John Milton said : “Death is the key needed to open the palace of eternity.”
  • Lew Wallace, author of Ben Hur story, said : “God’s will be.”
  • Shakespeare wrote in his living will : “I surrender my spirit into the hands of God, my Creator, hoping and with full confidence that I will take part in eternal life. For that Jesus Christ, my Savior has saved me. I give my body to the soil because of this I snatched created.”
  • Michelangelo, in the final seconds of his life, said to the people who were at his bedside : “Throughout this life remember the suffering of the Lord Jesus.”

I pray that we all endure to the end and being together with God in heaven, the eternal. Amen. ( Philippians 1:21)

PS : RIP Marco Simoncelli

Blessings and Peace for everyone !

With love,

kei
