Indepedence Day

Indonesia, 16 Agustus 2011

I was born, grew up and live in Indonesia, until today. I am proud to be Indonesian, with a rich source of natural energy and beauty of nature, and also rich in tradition and culture. Batik, Wayang Kulit, Rendang, Bali, Lombok, Lake Toba, Raja Ampat, Jogyakarta are part of Indonesia characteristic. With one MottoBhinneka Tunggal Ika,  (Old Javanese)Berbeda-beda tapi satu jua . UNITY in DIVERSITY.

Also live with one national ideology, Pancasila. Five principles of Pancasila:

  1. Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa Pancasila Sila 1 Star.svg
  2. Kemanusiaan yang Adil dan Beradab Pancasila Sila 2 Chain.svg
  3. Persatuan Indonesia Pancasila Sila 3 Banyan Tree.svg
  4. Kerakyatan yang Dipimpin oleh Hikmat Kebijaksanaan dalam Permusyawaratan / Perwakilan Pancasila Sila 4 Buffalo's Head.svg
  5. Keadilan Sosial bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia Pancasila Sila 5 Rice and Cotton.svg

Pancasila Perisai.svgGaruda Pancasila is used as an emblem of the State to illustrate that Indonesia is a nation great and strong country. Golden color of the Garuda Pancasila symbolizes the grandeur and glory. Garuda Pancasila has a beak, wings, tail, and claws which symbolizes development power. Garuda Pancasila represents the number of feathers on the proclamation of Indonesian independence on August 17, 1945, include :

  • 17 feathers on each wing
  • 8 pieces of fur on the tail
  • 19 strands of hair under the shield or on the base of the tail
  • 45 strands of hair on the neck
I want to sing one national song title Garuda Pancasila lyric by Sudharnoto :

Garuda Pancasila
Akulah pendukungmu
Patriot proklamasi
Sedia berkorban untukmu

Pancasila dasar negara
Rakyat adil makmur sentausa
Pribadi bangsaku
Ayo maju maju
Ayo maju maju
Ayo maju maju
Thank you  for all the heroes who have fought to defend the independence of the Republic Indonesia and all the heroes who have done the best things for the glory of Indonesia. I am proud with all of you. Let us fill the independence with the positive things the best we can do.

Happy Anniversary Indonesia.

Cheers,
kei
