Reuben Morgan is the worship pastor and one of several worship leaders and songwriters alongside Darlene Zschech at the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. He has written songs such as “Eagles Wings”, “Hear Our Praises”, “I Give You My Heart“, “My Redeemer Lives” and “Mighty to Save“, which won the ‘Best Worship Song’ category at the 2009 GMA Dove Awards.[1] In 2005 his first solo worship album, World Through Your Eyes, debuted at #3 in the Australian Christian Charts. The album was also released in Canada.

If you already have his latest album, Cornerstone he wrote some songs such as : Love Knows No End, Hope Of The World, All My Hope, Love So High, Stand In Awe and Cornerstone.

I learnt precious thing and I want to share some for you guys…

What is Laodicea ?

Laodicea or Laodiceia or Laodikeia built on the river Lycus so known as Laodicea on the Lycus (Greek: Λαοδίκεια πρός τοῦ Λύκου; Latin: Laodicea ad Lycum) is located between two town, in east : Colossae (Indonesia : Kolose) and in north : Hierapolis. Ruins of the city that is now called “Eskihisar” old castle in a modern village, Turkey.

There is a refreshing cold springs in Colossae and in Hierapolis there is thermal springs also known as The Healing Centre, but nothing at all in Laodicea. Laodicea doesn’t have a source of water, so the water supplied to the city from the outside through the pipes (aqueduct), made of stone. It is common in the Roman era, so it is called “Roman Aqueduct“. Because the stone pipes, simple technology and should reach distant places, also used in a long time, so sometimes there is accumulation sediment build up in it. When exposed to sunlight, the water up to Laodicea, to be warm (lukewarm), sometimes muddy. At the time to drink, the kind water would make nausea, even vomiting from the mouth.

Verse 14th : The Bible verse was first created is intended for the church in Laodicea but the word of God is eternal of all time is also addressed to us until now.

Verse 15th : Laodicea doesn’t have “The Refreshing” or “The Healing” water.

Verse 16th : Laodicea own only lukewarm and it caused of “lukewarm” water. At the time to drink, the kind water would make nausea, even vomiting from the mouth.

Verse 17th : Successful living standards human beings are not God’s standard of living.

Verse 18th : God is the source of everything. Gold refined in the fire=always have a value increase (meaningful life). White clothes=humility (egoism, pride). Salve to put on your eyes=sensitive, considerate, heedful and keen about everything especially God’s Work.

Verse 19th : True Love of a teacher’s heart. Relationship of teacher’s heart and disciple achievers, between coach and the champion.

Verse 20th : An precious invitation about eternal life, The Kingdom of Heaven.

Verse 21st : Grand prize (award) for the winner.

Verse 22nd : Good listener has ears to hear.

Learning About Rain From Elijah in 1 Kings 18

• ELEMENT : Elijah listened to God. He went to present himself to Ahab (verse 1-2)

• PRINCIPLE : Go out from “comfort zone”

• ELEMENT : Elijah vs 450 prophets of Baal (verse 19-29)

• PRINCIPLE : We are not a minority with GOD

• ELEMENT : Elijah prepared the altar using the wood, the stones, the soil and jars(verse 30-35)

• PRINCIPLE : Give his best even in a bad shape.

• ELEMENT : The sound of a heavy rain (verse 38-42)

• PRINCIPLE : Faith comes by hearing, not vision.

• ELEMENT : A cloud as small as a man’s hand (verse 43-46)

• PRINCIPLE : Faithful in small things and don’t give up.
